Swank Cake Design Swank Cake Design, founded by Wayne Steinkopf and Chuck Hamilton in April 2008, began as a contemporary cake studio in Cary, North Carolina. For over 5 years, we produced wedding cakes for North Carolina’s most discriminating brides. Recently, Wayne began teaching specialized cake decorating classes to his fellow sugar artists. The success of his unique classes gave rise to our newSugar Arts Studio-a modest cake school complete with a mini boutique of speciality cake supplies.
Swank Cake Design has been featured on TLC’s Fabulous Cakes, TLC’s Ultimate Cake Off, Cake Wrecks’ Sunday Sweets, The Knot, Weddings Magazine, Style Me Pretty, and Cake Central Magazine. We were also voted “Bride’s Choice” on Wedding Wire 4 years in a row.
