My name is Sandra “Sandie” Beltran but You Can Call Me Sweetie! My interest in decorative cookies began in October of 2012 when I first tasted a cookie with royal icing from a local bakery. That day began my obsession for learning how to make and decorate cookies. After reading through countless blogs and watching videos, I began practicing on sets for friends and family. I was then encouraged to share my cookies on Facebook, and in January 2013 I launched my business page. In hopes of branching out, I created my business Instagram 5 months later. Since then, I have gained a combined following of over 140,000 fans and was awarded Cookie Connection’s 2014 Cookier of the Year. I am also a Finalist for Cake Masters Magazine’s 2015 Cookie Category. Recently in September 2014, I launched Sweetie Academy and locally host several levels of classes wherein I share and teach my techniques. Upon receiving countless requests to take Sweetie Academy on the road, I am expanding Sweetie Academy later this year and hosting classes in several cities throughout the world. I hope to continue finding new ways to inspire others and share my love of decorated cookies.
