Liz Marek is the owner of Artisan Cake Company in Portland Oregon. She is well-known for her over the top sculpted cakes and figure work. She has a very popular youtube channel where she provides her fans with free tutorials as well as live classes. Liz is also the mastermind behind the wildly successful online tutorial website, www.sugargeekshow.com
Liz is a competition junkie and has entered and won over a dozen cake competitions including the That Takes the Cake Sugar Art Show and Cake competition in Austin, NCACS, Cakefair and Threadcakes. Liz also specializes in cakes that utilize special effects and moving parts. She has created edible works of art for many amazing clients including Jay Leno, Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller.
Liz is also the author of Artisan Cake Company’s Visual Guide to Cake Decorating which is a cake decorating book like no other, taking the reader from beginner to advanced structure, sugar flowers, figures, color theory and more.
