The Eyes are the windows to the soul! Yes, eyes do speak and are the windows to the soul and emotions. Eyes are full of beauty, charm and power, and tell more than words could ever say!

Learn with Carmen how to create sweet, beautiful eyes in a brush stroke of edible art!

“Windows to the Soul” will takes you to a whole new and exquisite level of edible art! This class uses Carmen’s unique eye painting technique with more in-depth shading and shadowing which will broaden your capabilities to master realistic-looking paintings.

Learn how to efficiently mix edible colors to bring your artwork to LIFE in the “Windows to the Soul”.

You’ll learn:

• Carmen’s signature painting techniques that will change how you paint your cookies forever!

• How to add dimensional elements to bring a whole new dimension to the cookie.

• Rice paper flowers, how to color and shaped them with the correct ratio of different ingredients.

• Carmen’s royal icing recipe.

• The basic tips and tricks for drawing realistic eyes.

• Knife paint techniques and color blending!

What you will take home:

• You will leave with one edible 9” beautifully hand painted portrait cookie in a take-home cookie box.

• You will receive written step by step instructions.

• You will also get cookie and royal icing recipes.

• Diploma of completion.

Please note – Photos/Video and audio recording are not allowed during class.

• All class tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

• All classrooms are on the second floor of MACC.

• You will need a general admission ticket in order to register for classes, including classes hosted on Friday.

• The vendor hall will not be open on Friday, and is only open Saturday & Sunday.

• Classes will begin promptly at the time scheduled.

• Saturday and Sunday there will be a two two-hour break from 1:00-3:00 to allow time for lunch, shopping, raffle drawings and contest results.

• All class materials and tools are included for classroom use only, unless otherwise noted. Students will NOT keep any tools used in class. Each student will be provided with a box to take home your completed class project.

• No children or guests allowed in classrooms. Only registered students will be permitted inside the class area.

In the event that the minimum student enrollment requirement is not reached by the specified deadline, the class will be cancelled. Affected students will promptly receive notification and will be provided with a  complete refund for the class/demo.
